Taylor Hopkinson is searching for an experienced Health and Safety Supervisor to join O&M team in a big international renewable energy company.
The job location is Thessaloniki, Greece.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure the well-being and safety of all employees on company projects, as well as third parties.
- Supervise company staff and contractors, ensuring they follow safety protocols and best practices.
- Develop, implement, and enforce Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) procedures, taking proactive steps to maintain the highest safety standards.
- Coordinate and oversee personnel involved in project operations and maintenance, ensuring legal compliance and smooth machinery and equipment operation.
- Conduct regular HSE inspections, generate detailed reports, and ensure adherence to safety regulations and industry standards.
- Lead investigations, analyze incidents, and create comprehensive reports to prevent future occurrences.
- Maintain accurate records of all HSE documentation as required by legislation and company policies.
- Implement safety procedures for the operation, maintenance, and insurance of facilities, ensuring safe maintenance interventions.
- Ensure compliance with all legal requirements related to operations, maintenance, operating permits, environmental approvals, and safety regulations.
- Provide timely and effective reports on all HSE activities and incidents.
- Communicate, implement, and monitor all company HSE rules and procedures effectively
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience as a Safety Engineer in construction or industrial settings, with a focus on Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE).
- Comprehensive understanding of HSE regulations, codes, and standards.
- Experience working with international clients and solar projects is advantageous.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Fluent in English, with the capability to prepare HSE documentation in English and/or Greek.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong planning, organizational, and analytical skills.
- Required certifications: Electrical Work Certification and HSE Certification.
- Familiarity with Quality, Health, Safety, and Environment (QHSE) Management Systems such as ISO 180001/ISO 45001, ISO 14001, and ISO 9001.
- Ability to meet deadlines and perform effectively under pressure.
