This role requires the ability to apply advanced HSE expertise, including knowledge of fundamental concepts, best practices, and industry standards. The QHSE Advisor should be proficient in applying theories, methods, and techniques relevant to the position.
Key Responsibilities:

Drive and foster a proactive QHSE culture by leading by example, utilizing data insights, and promoting awareness, knowledge sharing, and lessons learned.

Implement data-driven risk management through proactive reporting and high-quality data analysis.
-
Support the ongoing development and implementation of Client’s QHSE systems, procedures, and documentation, including:
-
Instructions, procedures, and contingency plans.
-
QHSE Management System and site assurance plans.
-
Global and local Emergency Response/Crisis Management protocols.
-
Audits and compliance checks (ISO 9001, 14001, 45001, 55001).
-

Plan, facilitate, and participate in safety meetings, toolbox talks, safety walks, and HAZID/HAZOP workshops.
-
Review and assess risk assessments, job hazard analyses (JHAs), safe work instructions (SWIs), lifting plans, and incident reports.

Monitor and assess internal and external QHSE compliance and performance, utilizing Client’s incident reporting tool (Synergi) for reporting and trend analysis.
-
Coordinate and report on safety inspections, incident investigations, root cause analyses, and associated findings, risks, and lessons learned.

Provide ad hoc support as required.
Decision Authority:
-
The QHSE function does not solely determine QHSE performance but serves as a subject matter expert, contributing to decision-making based on expertise, business understanding, and interdepartmental collaboration.
Key Stakeholders & Interfaces:

QHSE leadership and management.
-
Project and construction managers.
-
Client representatives.
-
Local regulators and authorities.
-
Client employees and contractors on-site.
Requirements & Qualifications:
-
Proficiency in English.
-
Relevant academic or technical background.
-
3-5 years of experience in QHSE, ideally in a related industry.

Strong interpersonal skills, effective communication, and presentation abilities.
-
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (knowledge of Synergi is an advantage).
-
Experience working with third-party contractors on QHSE matters.

Consultant must provide an iPhone 6 or newer (or a Windows Phone 8.1) compatible with Client’s AirWatch security app.

Mobile phone and subscription/plan to be provided by the consultant.

Preferred Qualifications:
-
Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in QHSE or a related field.
-
NEBOSH, ASP/CSP, or equivalent (Q)HSE certification.
-
Internal Auditor qualification (preferred).
-
Accident/Incident Investigation certification (preferred).
-
Experience in training development and delivery.
Working Conditions & Location:
-
Hybrid role with flexibility required.
-
Standard work schedule: 5-day week, 10-hour shifts.
-
Work patterns may vary, including potential rotations and night shift coverage.
-
Consultant is responsible for project-related commuting within the scope of work.
-
Travel outside the normal work location must be coordinated with the Work Manager/Line Manager.
