Operation Controller

Operational Controller required for a long-term project that will report into the commissioning management team. This role will involve working remotely then move onto a rotational working pattern, please see below for further information:

Key Responsibilities:

• In real-time on knowledge on ongoing work and the priorities of each job.
• Manage the power distributions of the OWP.
• Manage trough SCADA and other information systems.
• Provide rapid restoration in case of faulty situations.
• Maintain an overview of the network security and availability.
• Ensure adherence to project Safety Rules.
• Create safe Processes for 1st energizations.
• Create switching schedules for 1st energizations.
• Issue/approve switching schedules.
• Take responsibility as Person in Control of the electrical Installation during work.
• Monitor, approve, issue Permit to work.
• Safely operate the plant under Electrical Safety Rules alongside other procedures.
• Create switching schedules for the creation of a safe workplace for all work on the electrical system.
• Issue/approve switching schedules.
• Perform Switching Tasks.
• Contribute to the design stage ensuring needs of operator are considered
• Familiarise with the electrical system by participating in FAT/SAT testing as required.

Requirements:

• Create Processes and Procedures.
• Manage HV Safety from the System.
• Ensure safe HV workplace.
• Ensure safe 1st energizations.
• Create Handover documentation where needed.
• Input to WESR and other safety Rules.
• Manage different (software oriented) Processes (PTW & LOTO).
• Familiarity with other procedures relevant to operating high voltage networks.
• Experienced in HV commissioning, Operations under electrical safety rules, Safety documentation, switching schedules, Electrical regulations.
