OSS Commissioning Manager

OSS Commissioning Engineer required for a major offshore wind farm developer based in Germany.

Responsibilities

  • Commissioning strategy development and implementation across the OSS assets.
  • Point of contact for escalation of all OSS asset commissioning technical enquiries.
  • Technical support for HV SAPs.
  • Grid Commissioning Interface.
  • Chair to OSS Commissioning Panel Meetings.
  • Day to day organisation of the OSS team.
  • Review RAMS, co-ordinate work activity with System Control.
  • Produce and optimise all commissioning programmes, to ensure prioritisation and identification of key milestones and hold points.
  • Sign off for Stage 1 and Stage 2 Commissioning of OSS Assets.
  • Ensure Asset Integrity of the OSS during the WTG Commissioning phase.
  • Investigate and report on HV Network system events during the commissioning phase.
  • Ensure accurate ‘As Built’ Drawings and Commissioning Records are kept by the Subcontractor.
  • Update on Progress to Commissioning Package Manager.
  • Incident & defect investigation.
  • Fluent written and verbal English with good communication skills.
  • Provide coordination and Safety Rules technical support for the project.
  • Responsible for ensuring that adequate precautions are taken to achieve Safety From the System and ensuring all required documentation is prepared and issued prior to all work commencing.
  • Support where required, the Client Responsible Manager coordinating the necessary documentation and control procedures associated with Client Operational Safety Rules. Ensuring known status at all times.
  • Plan Commissioning activities to ensure Energisation Readiness.
  • Support the Client Commissioning Package Manager with the specification and procurement of the approved tools and equipment that will be required to implement the Client Operational Safety Rules at the NSC Offshore Wind Farm.
  • Reporting to the Commissioning Package Manager as well as to internal/external stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Significant and demonstrable experience working in a similar capacity.
  • Proven track record in a Client role.
  • Fluent written and verbal English with good communication skills.
  • Self-starting with planning/coordination and problem solving abilities.
  • Good standard of IT literacy (i.e. MS Office). Ability to produce project specific documentation as required to support the project and implementation of Company procedures.
  • Provide all standard Personnel Protective Equipment (PPE) and IT equipment as required to perform your role.
  • Valid EU working rights.
