Process Control Cable Installation for a major Offshore Wind Developer based in Germany
Responsibilities
- Managing the interface between the sectional projects and the cable supplier.
- Collecting and consolidating cable installation clearance dates from the sectional projects.
- Identifying, discussing and resolving resource and installation clearance conflicts regarding installation planning between the sectional projects and with the cable supplier.
- Overall coordination of installation planning with the cable supplier, review and binding agreement of the installation plan with the supplier, taking into account the construction clearance windows section by section.
- Feeding back installation dates into the sectional projects, assisting with the integration into the section schedules.
- Supporting the planning of downstream processes (fiber optic installation, cable testing, backfilling) considering construction clearance windows and resources on the supplier side.
- Supporting the scheduling manager for cables in maintaining the framework and contract schedules and coordinating interfaces with other trades (substations, permitting)
- Monitoring and verifying construction clearance and installation dates and data maintenance in the “construction portal” (MS Dynamics), entry of baseline dates and comparison with actual dates across all sectional projects.
- Preparation, execution and documentation of service call-offs to the cable supplier.
- Documentation and reporting of the coordination processes and service call-offs
Requirements
- Completed university degree in engineering or equivalent.
- At least 5 years of relevant experience in the execution and management of projects within the energy sector.
At least 5 years of relevant experience in schedule planning/schedule management for projects in the field of infrastructure or linear construction sites (pipeline/cable).
