Taylor Hopkinson is currently in active pursuit of a Procurement Manager in Houston, Texas or Miami, Florida to join a Spanish leader in photovoltaic self-consumption facilities, offering 360º services by being present throughout the energy value chain through four business lines: power generation, construction of energy projects, energy commercialization and product manufacturing with established operations in US, Italy, Mexico, France, Germany, and Morocco.
As the Procurement Manager, you will play a pivotal role in leading and managing the procurement function within the organization. You will be responsible for overseeing all procurement activities, driving cost-effective sourcing strategies, building and nurturing relationships with suppliers, and ensuring the availability of quality materials and services to support our operations. Your leadership will contribute to the company’s overall success by optimizing procurement processes and promoting efficiency.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement sourcing strategies to support project goals and corporate objectives.
- Identify, evaluate and select suppliers and vendors, ensuring they meet quality standards and performance metrics.
- Photovoltaic Purchases (Modules, Inverters, Cables, Trackers, etc.)
- Negotiate contracts and pricing with suppliers to achieve optimal terms and conditions.
- Manage procurement processes, including purchase orders, vendor relationships, and inventory control.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to align procurement activities with project schedules and requirements.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and sustainability practices.
- Monitor market trends and supplier performance to proactively address potential issues or opportunities.
- Comparative Analysis, Proposal for Awarding Contracts, etc.
- International Bulk Purchases, Logistics, and INCOTERMS
- Negotiation and Contracting of Construction Subcontracts
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or a related field.
- 8+ years of proven experience in procurement leadership roles, preferably in Solar, Renewable energy, Construction etc.
- Civil works, Mechanic and Electrical Installation, subcontracting- Solar Industry experience
- Strong knowledge of procurement best practices, contract management, and supplier negotiation.
- Strong knowledge of solar energy systems and materials.
- Experience in ERP Software (Business Central preferred).
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
- Proactive and dynamic person.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
