Role Overview

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Senior Procurement Manager to join this dynamic team in Germany. This role involves managing key strategic procurement activities for new international projects, including wind farms and battery energy storage systems, ensuring cost-effective and timely project delivery.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop sound, cost-effective strategies for purchasing and ensure timely delivery of purchasing budgets.
  • Coordinate and liaise with other internal departments as part of the procurement process, including sales and project management.
  • Guarantee the quality and accuracy of the procurement scope.
  • Ensure the correct identification, assessment, and quantification of all potential subcontractors related to the procurement scope.
  • Facilitate the correct handover to the project execution team for the management of the procured scope.
  • Develop relationships with suppliers with interests in the company’s sales markets.
  • Facilitate contract or consortium agreement negotiation and scope clarification with suppliers.
  • Develop standard interface documents for contracts with the support of the technical team.
  • Continuously develop and maintain relationships with suppliers.
  • Ensure contracts and terms, with support from the legal department, are favourable and fit for purpose.
  • Conduct supplier reviews on completion of contracts.

Requirements:

  • Degree in relevant engineering or commerce qualification.
  • Minimum 10 years’ experience in procurement and project management.
  • Knowledge in project management methods and techniques, commercial management, and supply management.
  • Experience in procurement of EPC/BOP/Logistics in the renewable industry is preferred.
  • Excellent IT skills including MS Office/SharePoint.
  • Excellent communication skills in English, both verbally and written.
