Taylor Hopkinson have partnered with a renewable energy developer that deliver large-scale projects within origination, development, construction and performance optimisation of onshore wind, solar and storage projects.
We are seeking a Project Development Director to join their dynamic team and take ownership of a portfolio of renewable energy projects. This is an exciting opportunity to lead and manage project teams, ensuring the successful development of projects from concept to delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide strong leadership across all technical, commercial, people, risk, and performance aspects of the project portfolio.
- Drive a client-centric approach while focusing on continuous improvement, optimisation, and project health.
- Identify and allocate project resources effectively to ensure timely and successful delivery.
- Manage business cases, budgets, suppliers, contractors, consultants, regulatory requirements, and project time lines with precision.
- Present to board members, lead negotiations, and manage contracts, budgets, and agreements.
- Positively contribute to staff professional development, leading by example and managing staff life cycle matters.
Qualifications & Experience Required:
- A qualification in Engineering, Project Management, or Construction Management is essential.
- Significant experience in the engineering, project management, and/or construction of power-generating facilities and/or transmission/electrical systems is required.
- Proven ability to lead and manage multidisciplinary teams with strong leadership capabilities.
- A client-centric approach and expertise in successfully leading negotiations with diverse stakeholders.
- Strong commercial acumen, with experience in managing outcomes, business cases, and budgets.
- A commitment to fostering continuous improvement and a high-performance team culture.
