Project Development Manager

Taylor Hopkinson have partnered with a renewable energy developer focusing on the widespread adoption of green energy. Through green energy development and smart power services, they provide solutions to society, reduce the difficulty of obtaining green power and accelerate energy transformation.

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Project Development Manager to lead the development and construction of renewable energy projects from permit application through to commercial operations date (COD). In this role, you will oversee all phases, from permitting, design, and construction to handover, ensuring seamless project delivery. The successful candidate will have proven construction experience and will lead a team of Project Engineers to drive projects to completion, managing risks, time lines, and stakeholder relationships along the way.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the full life cycle of renewable energy projects from permit application, design, and pre-development through construction and COD.
  • Manage all permitting and regulatory requirements, ensuring compliance and effective coordination with government agencies, regulatory bodies, and other stakeholders.
  • Lead the design phase, working closely with engineering teams to ensure project designs meet technical, regulatory, and financial requirements.
  • Oversee and manage the construction stage, maintaining high safety and quality standards, and ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget.
  • Collaborate with the Asset Management team for a seamless handover post-COD, providing complete project documentation and support.
  • Supervise and mentor a team of Project Engineers, delegating tasks and guiding their professional development.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • Extensive experience in renewable energy project development, with hands-on experience in both pre-development and construction stages.
  • Strong knowledge of permitting, regulatory, and compliance requirements for renewable energy projects.
  • Proven experience managing large-scale construction projects, with the ability to lead multidisciplinary teams.
  • Exceptional organisational, communication, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage stakeholders at all levels.
  • Leadership skills with a focus on developing team members and driving projects to success.
