Location: South Korea

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Offshore Wind Project Director to lead the development and execution of large-scale offshore wind projects in South Korea. The role requires strategic leadership, project management expertise, and a strong understanding of offshore wind energy. You will be responsible for overseeing all stages of project delivery, from feasibility studies to operation, while ensuring compliance with local regulations and maintaining strong stakeholder relationships.

Key Responsibilities

  • Project Leadership: Lead and manage all aspects of offshore wind projects, ensuring timely delivery within budget and high-quality standards.
  • Team Management: Oversee a multidisciplinary team, fostering collaboration and accountability.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain relationships with government agencies, contractors, and local communities.
  • Risk & Compliance Management: Identify and mitigate project risks; ensure compliance with local regulations, safety standards, and environmental policies.
  • Financial Oversight: Manage project budgets, forecasts, and financial performance to ensure cost control and profitability.
  • Reporting: Provide regular updates to senior management on project progress, milestones, and challenges.

Qualifications

  • Experience: 10+ years in offshore wind or renewable energy projects, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role. Previous track record delivering offshore wind projects to at least FID is required.
  • Technical Expertise: In-depth knowledge of offshore wind project development, construction, and operations.
  • Leadership Skills: Proven ability to manage cross-functional teams and drive project success.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Renewable Energy, or related field. Master’s degree or MBA is a plus.
  • Language: Fluency in English required;
  • Regulatory Knowledge: Familiarity with offshore wind regulations and permitting processes.
