Brief:
At Taylor Hopkinson, we are seeking a Project Finance Controller the role consists of overseeing financial performance and reporting for projects, managing budgets, contracts, and compliance with tax and local authorities, while coordinating financial and administrative matters, with a focus on accuracy and adherence to IFRS standards.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement cost control procedures and systems to monitor and manage expenses across the organisation
- Analyse cost variances, identifying areas of improvement and implementing corrective actions to ensure cost targets are met
- Prepare and analyse cost reports, budgets, forecasts, and variance analysis, providing insights and recommendations to senior management
- Collaborate with department heads and project managers to develop and manage project budgets, ensuring accurate tracking of costs and timely reporting
- Review and approve purchase orders, invoices, and expense claims, verifying accuracy and compliance with budgetary guidelines
- Conduct regular cost reviews and cost-benefit analyses to evaluate the effectiveness of existing processes, identify cost-saving opportunities, and support decision-making
- Track and analyse inventory costs
- Manage relationships with vendors, suppliers, and service providers, negotiating favourable terms and pricing agreements to minimise costs
- Provide financial support and guidance to cross-functional teams, assisting in the development of business cases and investment proposals
- Stay update to changes in cost accounting standards, regulations, and industry trends, ensuring compliance with relevant guidelines and best practices
Profile & Experience
- Minimum 5 years of experience in finance, cost accounting with a focus on cost control and analysis
- Strong knowledge of cost accounting principle, financial analysis techniques and budgeting processes
- Proficiency in financial modelling, forecasting and cost-benefits analysis
- Excellent analytic and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and make informed recommendations
- Ability to work effectively cross functionally and with multi-disciplinary project teams
- Ability to prioritise tasks, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet tight deadlines
- Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Effective written and oral communication skills
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, MS Project)
- Experience working in an international company
