Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced and motivated HSE Manager, offshore wind to oversee all Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) matters throughout the full lifecycle of a major offshore wind project-from detailed design and fabrication through to offshore installation and commissioning.
This position requires a strategic leader capable of implementing and upholding international HSE best practices while ensuring compliance with Korean regulations and cultivating a proactive safety culture across diverse, multi-national teams.

Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the project’s HSE focal point, advising senior leadership on all HSE-related matters.
  • Implement and manage the Project HSE Management Plan in accordance with corporate policies, ISO/OHSAS standards, and local regulations.
  • Oversee HSE performance across all EPCI packages (Foundations, Cables, WTG, Offshore Substation, Marine Operations).
  • Evaluate and monitor contractors’ HSE systems, plans, and compliance to ensure continuous improvement.
  • Lead HSE oversight during fabrication, marshalling, and offshore installation campaigns.
  • Develop and maintain HSE KPIs, incident statistics, and reporting for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Conduct and support incident investigations, root cause analyses, and lessons learned activities.
  • Promote and embed a proactive safety culture across all project teams and contractor organizations.
  • Liaise with local regulatory bodies and external auditors on compliance and reporting requirements.
  • Mentor and support local HSE professionals, contributing to capability development within Korea’s offshore wind sector.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Safety Management, Environmental Science, or related field.
  • Minimum 10 years of HSE experience in offshore energy, with at least 5 years in offshore wind.
  • Proven leadership as HSE Manager (or equivalent) on large-scale offshore wind projects through execution phases (fabrication, T&I, commissioning).
  • In-depth knowledge of international HSE standards (ISO 45001, ISO 14001, OHSAS, IMCA, G+, etc.).
  • Demonstrated experience managing HSE in multi-contract and multicultural project environments.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Previous experience in Asia or Korea preferred but not essential.
  • Fluent in English; Korean language skills advantageous.
