Project Manager

Role

The Project Manager is a key part of this Renewable Energy team and plays an essential role in the execution in VIC and other states. You will be responsible for the delivery of the construction phase of projects including management, coordination and reporting.

  • Broad project management & prepare project status reports to both HQ and local stakeholders.
  • Daily engagement, co-ordination and management of consultants, suppliers and contractors.
  • Support supply chain, engineering and on-site teams to ensure the project is delivered according to the correct standards and timeframes.
  • Working with peers function, support the project hand over to investors according to agreed timeline, including but not limited to inspection and commissioning.
  • Create detailed schedules and be able to work on multiple projects at one time.
  • Work with NSPs/AMEO and retailers to lodge REC registration.

Requirement

  • A degree in solar or Electrical Engineering or a related engineering science
  • At least three years’ experience as an engineer in Utility solar/wind or similar industry,
  • At least two years relevant work experience in the design, construction, and commissioning of PV power plants.
  • 3+ yrs work experience as project manager in solar sector, delicated in project implementation (accumulated 50+ MWp completed solar project reference) but also involved in project development (technical supporting) during the project development stage;
  • Familiar with the grid interconnection process for Australia Market;
  • Good communication networks with the national authorities, and capable to secure the permits and approvals from the local authorities;
  • Strong presence at the project subcontractors and EPC contractors;
  • Strong capability in project progress control, troubleshooting, QAQC management, safety management, cost control, resources management and risk management;
  • Previous experience managing projects from initial design to installation and execution are preferred.
  • Experience in permitting processes with local authorities having jurisdiction is a plus
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite and MS project
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Excellent writing skills are a must.
  • Assertive, able to cope with pressure, a team player, prepared to travel.
  • Fluent speaking and well writing in English, Mandarin is a plus.
  • PMP certification preferred;
  • Supervision Certificate of Electrical or Civil.
