Project Manager / On-site

Taylor Hopkinson is currently in active pursuit of a Project Manager to join a Spanish leader in photovoltaic self-consumption facilities, offering 360º services by being present throughout the energy value chain through four business lines: power generation, construction of energy projects, energy commercialization and product manufacturing with established operations in US, Italy, Mexico, France, Germany, and Morocco.

The Onsite Project Manager will oversee the construction and execution of the Jasper Project a utility-scale solar project, ensuring they are completed safely, on time, within budget, and in compliance with contractual and regulatory requirements. This role requires strong leadership, problem-solving skills, and the ability to manage multiple stakeholders, including subcontractors, engineers, and clients while maintaining high-quality standards. The candidate needs to be onsite in Indiana 100% of the time.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Execution & Management: Oversee all aspects of onsite project execution, including scheduling, resource allocation, and risk management. Ensure compliance with project plans, specifications, and safety regulations.
  • Contract & Stakeholder Management: Serve as the primary onsite liaison between the
  • EPC contractor, subcontractors, vendors, engineers, and client representatives. Monitor subcontractor performance and adherence to contractual obligations.
  • Budget & Cost Control: Track project expenditures and labor costs to ensure adherence to the project budget. Identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality or schedule.
  • Scheduling & Coordination: Develop and manage construction schedules, coordinating with procurement, engineering, and subcontractor teams to ensure milestone adherence.
  • Mitigate delays and optimize workflow.
  • Quality Assurance & Control: Implement and enforce quality control standards. Conduct regular inspections and audits to ensure all work meets industry and company standards.
  • Safety & Compliance: Ensure strict adherence to all safety protocols, OSHA regulations, and company policies. Conduct regular safety meetings and enforce site-specific safety measures.
  • Reporting & Documentation: Maintain accurate project records, including daily reports, RFIs, change orders, and progress updates. Provide regular reports to senior management and stakeholders.
  • Issue Resolution: Identify, analyze, and resolve project challenges and conflicts efficiently, ensuring minimal disruption to project progress.
  • Commissioning & Closeout: Oversee system commissioning and final inspections.
  • Ensure all punch list items are completed, and proper documentation is provided for project closeout.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field (preferred) or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of experience managing construction projects, with at least 3 years focused on utility-scale solar or renewable energy projects.
  • In-depth knowledge of solar PV construction, site work, electrical systems, and civil engineering principles.
  • Strong understanding of contract management, scheduling (Primavera P6 or MS Project), and budget control.
  • OSHA 30 certification (required); PMP certification (preferred).
  • Proficiency in construction management software (Procore)
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work in remote project locations for extended periods.
