Operations Project Manager – Logistics & Transportation

Job Purpose:
We are looking for an experienced Project Operations Manager to oversee and manage end-to-end logistics services for large-scale EPC projects. This role involves coordinating transportation processes, providing regular project updates to clients, managing stakeholder communications, ensuring quality control, and supporting project teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Execution: Oversee and coordinate freight forwarding and logistics services for complex projects.
- Quality Assurance: Ensure project performance aligns with safety, quality, schedule, cost, and billing targets.
- Stakeholder Communication: Maintain strong communication with both internal and external stakeholders throughout the project.
- Monitoring: Ensure timely handling and release of customer orders/shipments, along with regular reporting.
- Risk Management: Contribute to the development and review of departmental and project SOPs.
- Project Closure: Conduct post-project evaluations to assess success, outcomes, and key takeaways.
- Resource Allocation: Allocate resources effectively and manage customer relationships.
Key Relationships:
- External: Key project customers, and stakeholders involved in the project.
- Internal: Business Development Heads, Commercial Teams, Regional Solutions Design Team, Corporate Functions (Finance, HR, Legal, Procurement).
Qualifications and Experience:
Essential:
- Diploma or degree-level qualification.
- 5-7 years of experience in managing projects, especially in international project fields.
- Proven track record in project management and handling logistics.
- Experience in managing oversized shipments and chartering activities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Fluent in Japanese, with business-level English (speaking, writing, reading).
