About the Role
We are supporting a leading international renewable energy business in their search for a Project Proposal Manager. This role is critical in bridging the gap between sales and project delivery, ensuring proposals are technically sound, commercially competitive, and aligned with client expectations.
The Project Proposal Manager will take ownership of project proposals during the sales phase, working closely with internal teams, external suppliers, and clients. You will lead the preparation of detailed proposals, manage risk and opportunity assessments, and ensure seamless handovers to project execution teams. This is a unique opportunity to combine technical expertise, commercial awareness, and project management experience in the fast-growing renewable energy sector.
Key Responsibilities
- Take full ownership of project proposals during the sales phase, acting as the customer-facing contact for proposal management.
- Collaborate with sales, solutions, procurement, and project delivery teams to prepare comprehensive and competitive proposals.
- Develop execution strategies covering logistics, transportation, cranage, installation, testing, commissioning, and balance of plant scope.
- Review and approve contracts, ensuring alignment with technical and commercial objectives.
- Prepare tender documentation, project schedules, and risk assessments for client bids.
- Conduct market analysis to benchmark competitiveness, track industry trends, and provide feedback on cost optimisation.
- Support supplier development by maintaining relationships, reviewing technical concepts, and ensuring contracts are fit for purpose.
Qualifications & Experience
- Degree in Engineering or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 10 years’ experience in project or proposal management, preferably within the wind or broader renewable energy sector.
- Experience in wind farm project sales, logistics, transport, cranage, or EPC management highly regarded.
- Strong IT skills, including proficiency with MS Office and SharePoint.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English (additional languages an advantage).
- Proven ability to balance technical, commercial, and strategic considerations.
