At Taylor Hopkinson, we are seeking a Quality Control (QC) Engineer for one of our clients, a leading company in the renewable energy sector, to join their Construction team for the Mihailesti project in Romania. This is a unique opportunity to work on a significant renewable energy initiative, overseeing and managing the high-voltage electrical aspects of the project.
Here you’ll play a vital role in managing and executing electrical systems, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and project timelines. You’ll also gain deep insights into the renewables development business and internal project processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the Quality Control & Assurance Plan of the company, ensuring project compliance.
- Conduct quality inspections on civil, structural, electrical, and mechanical work, and supervise subcontractors.
- Communicate with external quality assurance officers during site inspections.
- Ensure the quality of materials, processes, and workmanship.
- Review and correct quality records/documents.
- Approve work packages and document inspection and testing results.
- Identify and report any non-compliance to the Project Manager.
- Collect and analyze quality data for proactive solutions.
- Verify job site completion and document discrepancies.
- Adhere to all safety policies and company standards.
Requirements:
- Degree in electrical or civil engineering.
- Minimum 1 year of QA/QC experience in large-scale solar park construction (minimum 5MW).
- Fluent in English and Romanian.
- Excellent communication, organization, and interpersonal skills.
- High technical competency in electrical, civil, and mechanical applications.
