Regional Sales Manager – APAC

Regional Sales Manager – Asia (Tokyo-based)
Offshore Wind | Marine & Heavy Equipment | Business Development

A leading international provider of offshore structural & marine installation equipment is looking to hire a Regional Sales Manager to drive its commercial strategy across Asia, with a primary focus on Japan. This is a rare opportunity to take ownership of a region from the Tokyo office, acting as the company’s local commercial lead.

The business has a long-standing presence in Japan and is a key supplier to some of the world’s most high-profile offshore wind and coastal infrastructure projects. They are now prioritizing expansion in the Japanese market and seek a self-sufficient, sales-focused individual to help convert regional opportunities into long-term success.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead sales efforts across Japan and support activity in neighbouring countries

  • Identify new opportunities and manage relationships with key accounts across offshore wind, civil/coastal infrastructure, and marine energy

  • Develop proposals and lead negotiations for high-value technical service and equipment packages

  • Interface regularly with regional technical and service teams (based in Singapore and Kuala Lumpur)

  • Represent the company at industry events and client meetings

  • Act as the face of the business in Japan, reporting insights and developments to senior stakeholders across APAC

Ideal Candidate Profile

  • Proven track record in business development or sales in offshore wind, marine installation, oil & gas, or related heavy industries

  • Strong understanding of technical services or project-based sales (not just product selling)

  • Able to operate independently in Japan while collaborating remotely with international teams

  • Fluent English; Japanese language and cultural fluency highly preferred

  • Self-starter with the confidence and drive to build a business unit with limited local support

  • Based in Tokyo; frequent regional travel required

Why Apply?

  • Join a company whose equipment supports 70% of global offshore wind installations

  • Full ownership of Japan market with support from regional technical and sales teams

  • Strong existing client base and brand recognition in Japan

  • Competitive compensation with bonus potential

  • Flexible work culture in a globally recognized engineering firm

This role suits a commercially driven professional who understands offshore and marine project environments, has a strong network in Japan, and thrives on developing new business.
