Taylor Hopkinson is actively seeking a Regional Sales Manager – Midwest for a US-based solar company specialising in high-performance trackers for the North American utility-scale markets.
Main Responsibilities:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers across the Midwest territory, driving business growth and sales.
- Lead sales efforts to solidify the company’s position as a market leader in the region.
- Sell solar trackers directly to integrator, EPCs, developers, financiers, and IPPs.
- Regularly engage with existing clients to understand their needs and ensure the company’s solutions are effectively positioned.
- Identify and contact new leads through various sources and trade publications.
- Develop strategies to expand the customer base and increase market share within the Midwest territory.
- Meet targets for sales volume, revenue, and gross margin, including territory management and customer base growth.
- Provide frequent sales forecasts, opportunity updates, and prospect reviews.
- Collect and share competitive and market data to aid in marketing strategies and business development.
- Represent the company at trade shows and conferences to entertain clients and close new sales opportunities.
- Travel up to 50% within the sales territory to meet customer and business requirements.
- Assist clients with project financing and lender acceptance, manage aging inventory, and support sales from local US warehouses.
- Meet sales price requirements, outperform competitors, and negotiate commercial terms on supply contracts.
- Enhance product adoption and increase market share while maintaining a leadership position.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Associate degree in business management, administration, engineering, supply chain, or a related field.
- 6+ years of B2B sales experience, with a preference for experience in the renewable energy industry.
- Proficiency in MS Office applications and Salesforce or similar sales tools; strong presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Hunter rather than farmer skills
- Must reside anywhere in theMidWest (Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, North Dakota, Ohio)
