Regional Sales Manager – Midwest

Taylor Hopkinson is actively seeking a Regional Sales Manager – Midwest for a US-based solar company specialising in high-performance trackers for the North American utility-scale markets.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers across the Midwest territory, driving business growth and sales.
  • Lead sales efforts to solidify the company’s position as a market leader in the region.
  • Sell solar trackers directly to integrator, EPCs, developers, financiers, and IPPs.
  • Regularly engage with existing clients to understand their needs and ensure the company’s solutions are effectively positioned.
  • Identify and contact new leads through various sources and trade publications.
  • Develop strategies to expand the customer base and increase market share within the Midwest territory.
  • Meet targets for sales volume, revenue, and gross margin, including territory management and customer base growth.
  • Provide frequent sales forecasts, opportunity updates, and prospect reviews.
  • Collect and share competitive and market data to aid in marketing strategies and business development.
  • Represent the company at trade shows and conferences to entertain clients and close new sales opportunities.
  • Travel up to 50% within the sales territory to meet customer and business requirements.
  • Assist clients with project financing and lender acceptance, manage aging inventory, and support sales from local US warehouses.
  • Meet sales price requirements, outperform competitors, and negotiate commercial terms on supply contracts.
  • Enhance product adoption and increase market share while maintaining a leadership position.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or Associate degree in business management, administration, engineering, supply chain, or a related field.
  • 6+ years of B2B sales experience, with a preference for experience in the renewable energy industry.
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications and Salesforce or similar sales tools; strong presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Hunter rather than farmer skills
  • Must reside anywhere in theMidWest (Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, North Dakota, Ohio)
