Sales Manager – Solar Solutions

Taylor Hopkinson is recruiting an experienced Sales Manager to lead the company’s commercial strategy in Italy, for a fast-growing international company specialising in advanced energy management and monitoring solutions for the solar industry.

The company provides hardware and software solutions that optimise the performance of solar PV plants, hybrid systems, and energy storage applications. With a strong presence in global markets, it is expanding its footprint in Italy to support the growth of the renewable energy sector.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute the sales strategy to expand the company’s presence in Italy.

  • Identify and engage with key customers, including EPCs, developers, IPPs, and asset managers.

  • Manage the full sales cycle, from lead generation to contract negotiation and closing deals.

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders in the Italian solar industry.

  • Provide market insights, identify trends, and support product positioning to maximise sales opportunities.

  • Collaborate with internal teams, including technical support and marketing, to ensure customer satisfaction.

  • Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and conferences to enhance brand visibility.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in engineering, business, or a related field.

  • 5+ years of experience in sales or business development in the solar energy or energy management industry.

  • Strong knowledge of solar PV market dynamics and regulatory environment in Italy.

  • Established network of contacts within the industry (EPCs, developers, utilities, and asset owners).

  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills.

  • Ability to work independently and drive commercial initiatives.

  • Fluency in Italian and English (both written and spoken).
