SCADA Engineer required for a Major Offshore Wind Farm Developer based in England.
Responsibilities
- Establish SCADA site presence, and act as first person site contact for technical support.
- Act as interface between SCADA design team and the Commissioning team.
- Participating in FAT/SAT/SIT tests and sign of as test completes.
- Performing quality inspections and report to SCADA design team.
- Provide technical support and training to end-users.
- Develop and maintain documentation for SCADA systems, including user manuals and technical specifications.
- Monitor system performance and implement improvements as needed.
- Participate in the commissioning and testing of SCADA systems.
- Supervise in the physical deployment, providing feedback to local project teams.
Requirements
- Five years of site based installation/commissioning experience within the energy/utilities sector.
- Knowledge of IT system hardware and network concepts.
- Knowledge of Radio Communication.
- Knowledge of fibre optic and copper cabling standards, testing equipment, and troubleshooting methodologies.
- Best practices regarding fibre optic and copper cables pulling and installations.
- Ability to communicate in English fluently in order to effectively communicate with representatives on technical matters.
- Able to read and understand technical documentation.
- Valid UK working rights.
