Senior Financial Controller – Madrid

At Taylor Hopkinson, we are searching for a Senior Financial Controller on behalf of a leading company in the renewable energy sector, which has a strong presence in multiple countries.

Responsibilities:

• Financial Management: Oversee and control financial processes, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulations.
• Cost Analysis: Evaluate and analyze operational costs, proposing strategies for optimization and efficiency.
• Planning and Budgeting: Develop and manage annual budgets, financial forecasts, and variance analysis.
• Financial Reporting: Prepare detailed financial reports for senior management, providing key insights for decision-making.
• Compliance and Audits: Ensure compliance with accounting and tax regulations, and coordinate internal and external audits.
• Cross-Department Collaboration: Work closely with other departments to support projects and strategic decisions.

Requirements:

• Academic Background: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field. A master’s degree or professional certification (CPA, CMA) is preferred.
• Experience: At least 2 years of experience in financial control, preferably in the renewable energy sector or similar industries.
• Analytical Skills: Proven ability to analyze complex financial data and provide strategic recommendations.
• Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with ERP and accounting software. Advanced proficiency in Excel is essential.
• Languages: Fluency in both Spanish and English. Additional languages are a plus.
• Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills and ability to present financial information.
