Taylor Hopkinson is currently working with an established Solar and BESS developer to recruit a Senior Legal Manager in Melbourne, Australia. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a leading solar project developer who has been actively growing in the ANZ region!
Job responsibilities:
1. The legal manager will be responsible for risk control of project investment for new energy companies, including legal research, scheme design, contract review and negotiation of overseas projects.
2. Supervise external law firms to complete legal research and industry policy research in the country where the project is located, and achieve overseas legal research results and business objectives.
3. Based on the research results of laws and policies, design investment and acquisition plans, review and negotiate contracts, and supervise contract execution after contract signing.
4. Support project development and M&A efforts in Australia (Bonus to have experience for utility scale solar and energy storage projects)
5. Independent and able to to be a self starter for various project initiatives
6. Team player
Qualification:
1. Bachelor’s degree or above, majoring in law and related fields, with a solid foundation in law.
2. More than 2 years experience dealing with land acquisition, EPC contract, project transaction contract for renewable energy projects in Australia.
3. A proven track legal work experience in the renewable energy industry, either in developer or law firm.
4. Priority will be given to those who have passed the national judicial examination.
5. Right to work in Australia.
