Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain positive, long-term relationships with corporate and utility clients, providing targeted energy solutions and positioning renewable projects to meet client energy needs.
- Prepare and present compelling commercial offers for renewable energy offtake, showcasing project value and advantages to clients, and refining strategies based on APAC market insights, regulatory shifts, and client requirements.
- Lead end-to-end PPA origination and negotiation processes, drafting and reviewing term sheets, full-form PPAs, and market representation contracts in close collaboration with Legal to secure favorable terms.
- Coordinate with internal teams (Project Development, M&A, Engineering, Finance) to facilitate contract approvals and support the internal FID process, preparing and presenting necessary documentation to drive project milestones and timelines.
- Conduct in-depth financial and quantitative analyses, assessing pricing structures, risk exposures, and commercial terms to ensure contract viability and profitability.
- Research and evaluate routes-to-market, regulatory updates, and competitor activities in renewable energy, translating insights into actionable strategies that align with company goals.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Engineering, or related field; Master’s degree or MBA preferred.
- Minimum of 8 years in offsite Renewables PPA origination, client outreach, contract negotiation, or renewable energy sales, with proven experience securing PPAs and managing client relations.
- Strong background in APAC’s energy market dynamics, FIDIC terms, and regulatory environment, as well as expertise in renewable energy project financials and pricing models.
- Advanced quantitative skills and familiarity with financial modeling and risk assessment for renewable energy projects.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication, with the ability to effectively convey complex information to stakeholders and influence decision-making.
- Strong leadership and collaborative skills to engage across all organizational levels and support team alignment and project execution.
- High proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); experience with PowerBI or similar tools is a plus.
- Willingness to travel across APAC for client and stakeholder engagement as needed.
