Role Overview

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Sr. Project Development Manager to join our client’s dynamic team. This role will lead and manage the development of renewable energy projects, including Solar PV Groundmount, Rooftop PV, Wind, and other emerging technologies.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the full-cycle development of renewable energy projects (Solar PV Groundmount, Rooftop PV, Wind, and others) from site identification, feasibility studies, permitting, grid connection, and financial close.
  • Ensure compliance with local regulations, environmental assessments, and grid connection procedures.
  • Coordinate with engineers, contractors, and external stakeholders to drive project milestones.
  • Support the company in identifying and exploring new opportunities within the renewable energy market, including emerging technologies and new business lines.
  • Analyze market trends, competition, and policy changes to inform business strategy and development pipelines.
  • Cultivate relationships with key industry players, government entities, and potential partners to facilitate project success.
  • Mentor and guide junior team members, providing technical and strategic direction to enhance their development and performance.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for local authorities, regulatory bodies, and other stakeholders during the project development phase.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor of Commerce, Science, Law, Engineering (Renewable Energy, Solar, Civil, Mechanical, Electrical)
  • Minimum 7+ years of experience in renewable energy project development, with a strong focus on Solar PV, Wind, and related technologies.
  • Proven experience in the South Korean market, with a deep understanding of local regulations, permitting processes, and industry trends.
  • Strong leadership and mentoring skills, with the ability to manage junior staff and multidisciplinary teams.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Strong business acumen with experience in supporting business development and client negotiations.
  • Experience with new and emerging renewable technologies.
  • Strong financial modelling and analytical skills related to project development and feasibility assessments.
  • Fluency in English and Korean.
