Senior Solar Engineering Manager

Exciting opportunity to get hands-on utility-scale EPC Delivery experience as a Senior Solar Engineering Manager with an EPC Management Firm partnered on 3GW of projects to be built over the next 3-5 years.

Job Briefing

Summary:

• The Senior Solar Engineering Manager will lead renewable energy engineering in designing, implementing, and optimizing utility-scale solar projects. Combines technical expertise and team leadership to deliver solutions that meet quality standards and are on time and within budget.

Essential duties:

• Familiarity with utility-scale solar project designs including single-line drawings, civil/structural/electrical site plans, DC/AC wiring diagrams, and other equipment specs.
• Understand construction applications of solar power plant design including PV string sizing, DC / AC Conductor / conduit sizing, racking/tracker design and powering.
• Develop/approve 30-90% IFC packages; manage external and internal teams; promote work with subcontractors
• Lead a team of solar engineers and technical specialists

Requirements:

• Minimum Bachelor’s degree in engineering, technical field, or related.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in solar construction or direct engineering management
• Knowledge of electrical, civil, and mechanical design materials and methods of construction in PV and BESS.
• Knowledge of utility interconnection requirements.
• Ability to travel 15%
