We are seeking an experienced Senior Welding Inspector to join our client on an 8 month project in Greece. The ideal candidate will be responsible for conducting inspections, ensuring compliance with project specifications and industry standards, and reporting on inspection activities.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct inspections as per project requirements and RFIs.
- Prepare and submit Inspection Visit Reports (IVR) detailing findings, compliance, and non-conformities.
- Verify welding procedures, NDE personnel qualifications, and inspection documentation.
- Monitor supplier HSE performance and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
- Attend Pre-Production Meetings (PPM) and liaise with clients, third parties, and suppliers.
- Oversee corrective actions, rework, and As-Built documentation review.
- Ensure all inspections align with contractual specifications and Inspection and Test Plans (ITP).
- Manage and coordinate multi-disciplined inspection teams.
Requirements
Mandatory:
- CSWIP 3.2 Senior Welding Inspection certification or equivalent.
- Conversant in English language.
- Flexibility to travel between fabrication locations and work differing shift patterns.
Desirable:
- NDE qualifications (PCN Level II or equivalent in MPI, UT, RT, DPI).
- Coating Inspection qualifications (NACE Level II or equivalent).
- Familiarity with DNV-GL-OS-C401 Offshore Fabrication Standard.
- Mechanical Engineering qualification or relevant experience.
- Experience managing teams of multi-disciplined Inspectors.
- Conversant in Greek language.
- International experience in welding inspection.
