Taylor Hopkinson is looking for an experienced Service Engineer to join a big international EPC company in renewable energy sector.
Location: Central region of Portugal and Alentejo.
Responsibilities:
- Execute inspection and maintenance tasks,
- Report and solve problems efficiently in the field,
- Provide timely service and emergency responses,
- Diagnose faults and maintain PV systems,
- Operate daily at the PV plant,
- Act immediately on critical faults to maintain energy production,
- Perform electrical, measurement, and installation tasks as part of services,
- Liaise with the local Distribution System Operator (DSO),
- Ensure compliance with Grid Integration Rules in collaboration with the DSO,
- Be available for preventive maintenance work.
Qualifications:
- Certification for low voltage tasks,
- Preferred training in medium voltage cell operations,
- TREIE registration with DGEG is advantageous,
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel for work,
- Proficiency in reading construction and electrical schematics,
- Familiarity with MS Office suite,
- Experience in power plant implementation, auditing, or maintenance, as well as in distribution, networks and industrial facilities. Experience in the solar or wind energy sector is a bonus,
- Preferably holds a higher technical or electrical qualification,
- Proficient in Portuguese, both written and spoken,
- English proficiency, both written and spoken, is a plus.
