Site Engineer (Germany)

Taylor Hopkinson have been retained on the search for a Site Engineer to join an EPC and O&M services provider for utility scale projects across Europe

The role :

  • Managing the execution of photovoltaic farm constructions.
  • Preparing for the project launch, including handling formalities and health and safety matters.

  • Coordinating the receipt of materials and ensuring their compliance with project specifications.

  • Verifying the quality of work against technical specification standards.

  • Maintaining close collaboration with the Project Manager and providing regular updates.

  • Reporting on work progress and potential risks and conducting daily reviews.

  • Conducting acceptance of the work scope and developing post-construction documentation, such as measurement protocols.

  • Actively engaging with other departments and investor representatives during project implementation.

  • Overseeing all onsite and offsite constructions to ensure compliance.

  • Coordinating and directing construction workers and subcontractors.

  • Ensuring the project meets contractual performance conditions.

  • Ensuring adherence to quality construction standards and proper construction techniques.

  • Developing a work program and strategy to efficiently execute the project.

  • Planning for the prevention of onsite issues, including the logistics of equipment and material storage and delivery.

  • Using construction management software to plan workflows effectively.

  • Communicating with clients, subcontractors, suppliers, the public, and the workforce.

Requirements:

  • Technical education in Power Engineering, Renewable Energy, Electrical Engineering, or Construction.
  • Proficiency in the English and German languages – at least B2 level (communication and writing).
  • Minimum of 1 year of construction site experience.
  • Availability and readiness to work onsite within the assigned area.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Self-motivation and excellent organizational skills.
  • Valid driver’s license (Category B).
