Taylor Hopkinson is working with a well-known international OEM to appoint a Site Quality Specialist for a major interconnection project in Germany.
As Site Quality Specialist, you will be responsible for quality inspections on site for the construction and commissioning areas, carried out according to the drawings, workmanship and contractual project requirements, supported by the Quality and Construction team.
This is a full time, staff role that is based on site 5 days a week. Due to the nature of this role, it is essential that you are fluent in the German language, confident in conversation at business level and the ability to read complex German specifications and manuals.
Role:
- Conducting quality training and ensuring the implementation and monitoring of quality control processes.
- Execution and tracking of quality plans, master test plans and the completion system.
- Review and approval of quality documentation (e.g. test certificates, checklists).
- Ensuring effective communication of quality control plans and construction documentation to site management and contractors.
- Providing quality inputs for site management to support on-time and on-budget project execution.
- Implementation, documentation and validation of inspections/tests during construction and commissioning.
- Monitoring contractors ‘ compliance with quality requirements and tracking corrective actions.
- Providing quality-related KPIs to stakeholders as needed.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree or relevant equivalent in electrical engineering, engineering or quality management coupled with relevant professional experience.
- Experience in the energy sector is an advantage.
- Experience with large EPC projects and ISO 9001 knowledge.
- Excellent communication skills, efficient teamwork and the ability to build trust-based relationships with our customers.
- Fluent in German and English.
- Motivated and curious with a constant focus on quality and an eye for detail in all your tasks.
- Willingness to work on site at the project location Monday – Friday.
