Taylor Hopkinson is looking for an experienced BESS Solution Manager to join a leading green technology company that focuses on renewable energy solutions.
The job is remote and the location in Poland.
Role:
- Design, engineer, and optimize large-scale energy storage systems, collaborating closely with the sales team to provide engineering solutions to both the sales team and customers.
- Evaluate RFP documentation to determine project scope and assess risks.
- Create technical designs and presentations, offering clarifications to the sales team and customers as needed.
- Translate customer requirements into technical designs for BESS solutions.
- Prepare and submit technical tender responses within set deadlines.
- Review and analyze previous technical tender submissions to understand outcomes from a technical perspective.
- Stay informed about the latest technical and engineering requirements and trends in the storage market.
- Analyze the competitive landscape to aid in the development of ongoing product technical solutions.
- Work with customers and commercial teams to support contract negotiations and finalizations from a technical standpoint.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Energy Engineering.
- Proficiency in technical English.
- Over 5 years of relevant experience, ideally including work with a DNO or TSO.
- Practical knowledge of battery systems, power conversion systems, PPC/EMS/SCADA, and grid connection processes for your managed jurisdictions.
- Familiarity with grid operator procedures.
- Strong understanding of regulatory requirements and standards for BESS systems.
- Capability to size Power Converter Systems (PCS) and battery systems.
- Knowledge of design principles related to short circuit protection, conductor sizing, thermal systems, safety systems, etc.
- Additional European languages are advantageous.
