About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Structural Engineer to join our Civil Engineering team. This role involves contributing to complex industrial projects, including energy recovery facilities, waste treatment plants, and recycling centres. You will play a key part in tender preparation and project execution phases, ensuring robust and cost-effective civil engineering solutions.
Key Responsibilities

Tender Phase
- Analyse site constraints (topography, geotechnics, environmental factors).
- Review load requirements and process-related constraints.
- Participate in structural design and layout planning.
- Propose technical alternatives to enhance competitiveness.
- Prepare quantity estimates and pricing schedules for:
- Structural works (foundations, reinforced concrete superstructures).
- Steel frameworks (primary/secondary structures, cladding, roofing).
- External works and utilities (roads, drainage, fire water systems).
- Secondary works for office spaces.
- Evaluate subcontractor bids and assist in defining construction methods.
- Develop simplified costing tools for preliminary estimates.

Execution Phase
- Collaborate with design coordinators, structural engineers, and control offices.
- Present and defend technical solutions during tender and execution phases.
- Analyse technical proposals received during project delivery.
Candidate Profile
- Degree in Civil Engineering with 5+ years of experience in structural design (concrete and/or steel), ideally on industrial projects.
- Additional experience in multi-trade works is an advantage.
- Proficient in:
- French and European construction standards (knowledge of American codes is a plus).
- Structural analysis tools (e.g., Robot Structural Analysis Professional).
- Foundation design software (e.g., GEOFOND, GEO5, FOXTA).
- 3D modeling tools (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit).
- Fluent in English (spoken and written)
- Strong communication skills, technical expertise, attention to detail, and a collaborative mindset.
