About the Role
We are supporting a leading renewable energy services provider in the search for a Supervisor Technician to work across a portfolio of Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS).
This is a hands-on field leadership role responsible for overseeing day-to-day technical operations, maintenance, and performance of high-voltage battery storage assets. The role involves coordinating technicians, executing HV switching activities, and ensuring safe and reliable operation of all battery systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and support technicians performing preventive and corrective maintenance on BESS assets.
- Lead and perform High Voltage (HV) switching in accordance with safety procedures and network requirements.
- Coordinate troubleshooting, fault diagnosis, and repairs to maintain system uptime.
- Ensure all work is conducted in compliance with electrical, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Monitor battery system performance, analyse data trends, and escalate issues as needed.
- Maintain accurate documentation including switching sheets, maintenance records, and incident reports.
Skills & Experience
- HV Switching experience is essential (current certification required).
- Trade qualification as an Electrician, Electrical Technician, or equivalent.
- Experience working with battery energy storage systems.
- Strong understanding of AC/DC electrical systems, inverters, switchgear, and HV/LV infrastructure.
