Support Engineer / Platform Engineer – Wind Turbine Systems

Our client is one of leading Engineering Service company, seeking a highly skilled Support / Platform Engineer, who is familiar with the operation and maintenance of Vestas V164 / V174 offshore wind turbine platforms. This role is at the intersection of renewable energy and digital infrastructure: you will play a key part in ensuring our wind-turbine platform is optimized and sits in Taiwan where the leading Offshore Wind market in APAC.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide expert technical support for Vestas V164 and V174 turbine platforms, including fault diagnostics, performance optimisation and incident resolution.
  • Lead or participate in root-cause investigations and corrective action planning for turbine system issues, working closely with OEM (Vestas) and internal operations teams.
  • Interface with grid connection infrastructure, control systems and SCADA platforms to ensure reliable platform operations and data integrity.
  • Develop, implement and maintain technical procedures, platform support frameworks and monitoring tools for our wind-turbine assets.
  • Act as a bridge between renewable generation teams and digital/IT teams to align turbine platform systems with data-centre level expectations of uptime, availability and safety.
  • Support deployment of new turbines or platform expansions, including site assessments, commissioning assistance and pre-operation validation.
  • Mentor and collaborate with local and international engineering teams, sharing best practices, documentation and knowledge transfer.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • European national (or EU/EEA passport) preferred, with willingness and ability to relocate to Taiwan for at least 1-2 years.
  • Proven experience (ideally 3-5 + years) with Vestas V164 and/or V174 turbine platforms (or equivalent offshore wind turbine platforms) – from a support or platform engineering perspective.
  • Strong background in wind-turbine systems, control systems, grid connection and high-voltage interfaces.
  • Familiar with digital infrastructure, monitoring systems, SCADA/telemetry and data-driven optimisation.
  • Excellent technical problem-solving skills, with a track record in root cause analysis and corrective action implementation.
  • Strong communication skills in English; any additional language (especially Mandarin or another Asia-Pacific language) is a plus.
  • Willingness to relocate to Asia (Taiwan) and work across time zones / multicultural teams.
  • Self-driven, flexible and comfortable working in a dynamic, fast-growing industry context where renewable energy meets digital / data-centre infrastructure.
