About the Role:
A leading global company specializing in renewable energy solutions is seeking an experienced Transaction & M&A Manager to oversee and drive mergers, acquisitions, and strategic partnerships in the Chilean market. This senior leadership role requires deep expertise in transaction structuring, financial modeling, and deal execution, along with a strong understanding of the renewable energy landscape in Latin America. The ideal candidate will play a key role in identifying and securing high-value investment opportunities that align with the company’s long-term growth strategy.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Investment & Deal Origination: Identify, evaluate, and execute M&A transactions, partnerships, and investment opportunities in the renewable energy sector, aligning with corporate objectives.
- Financial Structuring & Valuation: Lead financial modeling, due diligence, and transaction structuring for acquisitions, divestitures, and joint ventures, ensuring optimal deal outcomes.
- Market Intelligence & Business Development: Monitor and analyze market trends, regulatory developments, and competitive dynamics to identify new opportunities and mitigate risks.
- Deal Negotiation & Execution: Lead negotiations with counterparties, including project developers, investors, and financial institutions, to structure and finalize transaction agreements. Both for acquisitions and selling opportunities
- Regulatory & Compliance Oversight: Ensure all transactions comply with local and international regulations, corporate governance, and risk management policies.
- Cross-functional Leadership: Collaborate with internal teams such as legal, finance, and technical departments to facilitate smooth transaction execution and post-merger integration.
- Stakeholder Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key industry players, government agencies, and financial institutions to enhance business opportunities and strategic positioning.
- Investment Strategy Development: Contribute to the company’s regional investment strategy by assessing financial feasibility, risk factors, and long-term value creation potential.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field.
- 8+ years of experience in M&A, investment banking, private equity, or corporate finance, preferably within the renewable energy or infrastructure sector.
- Proven track record in executing complex M&A transactions, financial structuring, and investment analysis.
- Strong understanding of the Latin American renewable energy market, including regulatory frameworks and financial incentives.
- Excellent negotiation skills with the ability to lead high-stakes discussions with external stakeholders.
- Experience in managing cross-functional teams and coordinating due diligence processes.
- Strong financial modeling and valuation expertise, with proficiency in Excel and financial software.
- Fluency in Spanish and English
