Transport & Installation Jacket OSP Lead required for a major offshore wind developer based in England

Responsibilities

  • You will lead the engineering and execution scopes of the Offshore Substation Platforms (OSP) Jacket (JKT) Transport and Installation (T&I) for the development projects.
  • Report to the T&I Work Package Manager (WPM) for the projects and Deputy T&I WPM.
  • Support the T&I WPM in the technical management of the JKT T&I scope.
  • Actively integrate a multi-discipline team in a multi-culture and multi-company environment (Joint Venture).
  • Be specifically responsible for the safe and efficient technical execution of the JKT T&I works.
  • Ensure that the JKT T&I contractor technically execute the works as per the quality standards set up within the Projects.
  • Interface closely with the EPC work packages and eventually with the Port development work package, including defining the T&I Contractor requirements, planning and mapping the load out sequence, the transfers of custody between the different parties involved, etc..
  • Efficiently interface with all other technical work packages (OSP, WTG, IAC, etc.) as well as other internal stakeholders regarding the JKT scope specific requirements.
  • Take on the technical leading role with the T&I Contractors tendering the works during the bid phase, the clarification and negotiation phase and thereafter the contract execution phase.
  • Work directly with the relevant work stream managers for our projects to review the setup for installation in conjunction with the programme, the consenting application and discharge, and the HSE UK regulations.
  • Provide valuable input in the evaluation and costing of development and execution projects (CAPEX) and will take over the preparation of tender documents, as well as providing support in contract negotiations.

Requirements

  • A master’s degree or the equivalent in engineering or industrial engineering.
  • A proven 10 years track record in working with/in cross-functional teams in international projects and high confidence with effective stakeholder management.
  • A good understanding and working knowledge of large-scale energy projects in the offshore energy sector, preferably in Offshore Wind.
  • You have practical experience in marine logistics, especially transport and installation of heavy structures for offshore projects.
  • Your knowledge on JKT related scopes and required operations would be an asset.
  • Fluency in Business English, German is a plus.
  • You are very effective in multi-stakeholders relationship building, demonstrated by your effective presentation, communication and negotiation skills, persuasiveness, assertiveness and teamwork attitude.
  • Your ability and willingness to travel are crucial requirements for being a member of the team that operates across different locations, including London (office based 3 days a week) and Hamburg (occasional travel).
