Taylor Hopkinson are proudly leading the search for an Environmental and Social Specialist to join our industry-leading and respected client’s growing team.
Responsibilities:
- To work closely with project managers to ensure international E&S standards are embedded within each project’s lifestyle from inception to operation
- To ensure the team have all relevant tools are on hand to enable E&S risks to be quickly identified and mitigated
- To develop and maintain the E&S management system for all UK activities
- To coordinate and implement the E&S Management plans during each stage of the project such as for development, construction and the operating phases of each project
- Identify local supply chains and community leaders
- To implement stakeholder engagement plans, lead stakeholder engagement activities including handling community feedback for issues and concerns
- Supporting consultation events and activities
Requirements
- Background and experience with Environmental Impact Assessments (EIA)
- Experience in UK utility-scale renewable energy development essential
- Track record managing and delivering energy projects through the consenting regime
- Demonstrable ability at report writing and presentation
- Able to problem solve and summarise complex situations
- A good understanding or knowledge of community cultures, customs and practices
- Ability to work on a hybrid model with occasional office travel
