Utility Scale Sales Manager

Taylor Hopkinson is in the look out for a Utility Scale Sales Manager with a fast-growing solar module manufacturer with a U.S. factory established in South Carolina since three years ago, currently producing modules for one of the industry’s leading Tier 1 brands. The company is expanding its domestic footprint with plans to open a U.S.-based solar cell manufacturing facility in the near future, further strengthening its position in the vertically integrated supply chain and enhancing its commitment to U.S. manufacturing.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead sales efforts for photovoltaic module products in the North American market, aiming to meet or exceed annual sales targets.
  • Drive order acquisition, grow sales revenue, manage costs, and increase market share within the assigned region.
  • Maintain strong, responsive relationships with customers by understanding their needs and delivering high-quality, proactive support.
  • Manage inquiries, provide quotations, and negotiate contract terms aligned with pricing and product strategies.
  • Monitor market trends and pricing, and regularly report on market forecasts and competitive analysis.
  • Identify and pursue new sales channels and customer opportunities, particularly with downstream and end-users.
  • Gather frontline market intelligence and customer feedback to support strategic planning and improve after-sales service.

Key Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, or a related field.
  • MUST – At least 5 years of experience in solar or energy-related product sales, with an ESTABLISHED NETWORK OF CUSTOMER IN THE UTILITY SCALE SPACE IN THE US.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and organizational skills, with the ability to perform well under pressure.
  • Solid understanding of the photovoltaic value chain and existing connections in the solar cell sector.
  • Demonstrated ability to independently develop new business opportunities and manage client relationships.
  • Self-motivated, accountable, and highly collaborative with strong coordination and follow-through skills.
