Overview:
You will be responsible for overseeing all communications activities in North America. You will serve as a trusted advisor for the Executive Management team and help position the company as a leading player in renewables. The communications team supports the business to achieve its ambitious growth targets by establishing highly professional communications to all internal and external stakeholders targeted by Communications.
Reporting the the CEO & working closely with adjacent leadership departments.
Role Responsibilities:
- Establish and lead the communications team in the region supporting responsibilities for internal communications, media relations, social media, and Public Relations
- Develop communication concepts that help achieve the business ambitions in line with company strategy including working closely with the business to implement creative and targeted communication concepts & activities to inform and engage your key internal and external stakeholders
- Position the company and shape the awareness of the company as one of the leading renewables companies by driving efficient and state-of-the-art external and internal communication in the respective channels
- Build, foster, and expand networks with relevant journalists to proactively drive the media strategy and strategically position the company, as well as, the CEO
- Increase the awareness of the brand and its business by making the variety of the business visible in the company’s social media channels, on the corporate website, and through necessary branding campaigns for specific topics
- Support key business projects by developing and implementing communication concepts for the sites including necessary PR events and sponsoring
- Create inspiring and engaging internal communications to support our open, inclusive culture and our values of Trust, Passion, and Performance, supporting the Executive Team to communicate in a transparent, empowering way by providing the right channels and tools
Requirements and experiences:
- 10+ years of experience in corporate communications, media relations, and/or journalism
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or related field, Master’s degree preferred
- Fundamental understanding of the energy markets and energy policy
- An established network of relevant media outlets
- Experience in developing, managing, and refining different communication channels
- Proven track record of building, leading, and inspiring professional communications teams
- Ability to network and be a team player who thrives in collaborating and working together in teams
- Capability to develop yourself and your team to their full potential
- Self-motivated to drive the communications team and deliver results
- Strategic thinking, ability to push the boundaries to position the company as a leading renewables player

This role offers a hybrid work schedule with a minimum of 3 days in the office.
