Exciting opportunity to join a leading North American IPP as a Vice President of Transmission and Interconnection focused on utility-scale BESS & PV grid connection initiatives and long term transmission strategy for the firm & industry.
Summary:
- Seeking strategic and technical Transmission and Interconnection expert working closely with development, engineering, finance, and operations to drive trasnmission initiatives with overall business goals. Seeking experience across multiple ISOs and RTOs.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute transmission strategies to support utility-scale BESS & PV portfolios.
- Lead Power flow models and conduct transmission studies
- Oversee interconnection processes across multiple ISOs/RTOs ensuring timely, reliable, and cost-effective grid connections.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in EE, Power Systems, Energy Economics, or related field, Master’s strongly preferred
- 10+ years of experience in power / energy industry with strong focus on transmission planning / interconnection strategy
- Demonstrated experience with several US Power Markets (PJM, ERCOT, etc.)
- Strong understanding of FERC regulations, market design, LMP pricing, congestion, curtailment, basis risk, etc.
- Proficiency with PSSE, PowerWorld, PROMOD, Plexos, TARA, or equivalent.
- Further extensive renewable interconnection experience.
