WTG Commissioning Manager

WTG Commissioning Manager required for a major Offshore Wind Farm Developer based in Poland.

Responsibilities

  • Follow-up on and maintain overview of as-built documentation status (submitted, not submitted) within WTG package and tracking it in a Master Document Register, under alignment with Document Control team on delivered documents and DMS.
  • Ensuring delivered documents are in accordance with the Employer Requirements for Reference Designation System for Power Plants (RDSPP).
  • Setting up Handover requirements, documenting and aligning the handover process across package.
  • Delegate tasks to Client supervisors to ensure scope of mechanical & Electrical installation and testing is optimally witnessed by Employer.
  • Together with Quality review of ITPs and procedures from Supplier.
  • Report on progress daily and weekly to the Client Commissioning Manager and WTG Technical Lead.
  • Contribute actively to evaluation of the project progress and propose mitigation measures early when issues arise.
  • Ensure commissioning activities are correctly documented.
  • Ensure compliance with specifications and engineering standards.
  • Report and Monitor forecasting of upcoming activities to the commissioning team highlighting important milestones.
  • Coordinate site commissioning meetings with CON.
  • Assist with Management of NCRs, punch closing activities.
  • Participate in wider project meetings representing WTG commissioning.
  • Act as point of contact for the Client electrical safety manager.
  • Planning of integration testing with WTG/ONS.
  • Ensure provision of documentation critical for TSO approvals on time.
  • Handover Management
  • Support quality inspectors in the package with deliverables.
  • Validate the as built documentation within the package.
  • Represent Client WTG package in all mechanical and electrical commissioning and completion related activities.
  • Act as a role model for high standards of work & safety.
  • Ensure adherence to project Safety Rules.
  • Manage Client input to the overall commissioning planning WTG package agreed construction schedule.
  • Interface with OCMs in the management of commissioning engineer’s / supervisors.
  • Confirm completion of key milestones, SAT, Mechanical Completion etc. on individual WTG level.
  • Coordinate interfaces to third party equipment.
  • Monitor and report on progress.

Requirements

  • Engineering degree at M.Sc. level or similar, in electrical engineering/power systems engineering.
  • 5+ years of relevant experience.
  • Technical education relevant for the subject matter.
  • Required 5 years of work experience within offshore wind.
  • Required 2 year of practical experience related to executing the WTG commissioning scope.
