As part of their continued growth, they are seeking a highly skilled WTG Procurement Manager to lead the procurement process for wind projects.
Role Overview
As the WTG Procurement Manager, you will be responsible for driving procurement strategies for critical components of wind energy projects. This senior role involves providing strategic leadership and direction to ensure procurement activities align with company goals. You will also support mergers and acquisitions related to wind turbines, while overseeing the tendering process for key packages and O&M contracts, ensuring cost-effective solutions and optimal supplier relationships throughout the project lifecycle.
Responsibilities
- Lead procurement for wind turbine supply, transport, and installation packages, including O&M services.
- Manage tendering, contract negotiations, and M&A activities, ensuring alignment with project goals.
- Collaborate with senior management to define supply chain strategies, forecasts, and cost estimations.
- Oversee supplier relationships and market trends, actively scouting new suppliers and ensuring compliance.
- Coordinate procurement activities across technical teams and suppliers, ensuring deadlines and budgets are met.
- Support contract management and supplier agreements to optimize terms and mitigate risks.
- Prepare and present procurement reports, including benchmarking and supplier performance analysis.
Requirements
- Strong experience in procurement, supply chain strategy, and project management within the renewable energy sector.
- Proven ability to negotiate contracts, manage supplier relationships, and oversee tendering processes.
- Knowledge of cost control, market analysis, and risk management in large-scale projects.
