WTG Supervisor & 66kV SAP needed for a Major Offshore Wind developer in the Netherlands.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise onshore and offshore WTG commissioning activities.
- Oversee mechanical and electrical completion processes.
- Conduct and participate in commissioning walkdowns.
- Verify and document all relevant commissioning and performance tests.
- Prepare and monitor snagging lists and ensure close-out.
- Ensure commissioning is fully documented as per employer requirements and templates.
- Detect, report, and follow up on outstanding works and quality issues.
- Coordinate with the Quality department for effective monitoring and control.
- Ensure compliance with project HSSE policies and local legislation.
- Report HSSE issues and observations promptly.
- Promote a proactive safety culture and ensure the clients SSOW rules are applied offshore.
- Provide daily progress and end-of-shift reports.
- Participate in daily site coordination meetings.
- Ensure efficient communication between stakeholders.
- Support handover of assets to O&M teams.
- Contribute to data collection and analysis of quality and performance metrics.
- Perform and supervise 66kV switching operations on WTG switchgear.
- Coordinate HV activities with onshore control engineers and HV teams.
- Write and review switching protocols.
- Ensure compliance with NEN3140 & NEN3840 standards.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in WTG commissioning.
- Strong background as HV SAP (at least 66kV).
- Solid understanding of QHSSE requirements and implementation.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in the wind energy industry.
- Experience in 66kV switching operations preferred.
- Knowledge of Dutch electrical standards (NEN3140, NEN3840) preferred.
- Strong team player with excellent communication skills.
- Proficient in English (written and spoken).
- Competent in basic MS Office tools.
- Adaptable to day/night shifts and offshore rotations.
- Valid GWO certifications (BST + BTT as applicable).
- HV SAP certification (66kV or higher).
