WTG Technical Project Manager for a major Offshore Wind Project based in Germany
Responsibilities
- Manage technical delivery of the WTG package from development to commissioning.
- Coordinate freelance and contracted engineering resources.
- Lead technical interface management with Electrical, Foundations, T&I, and O&M packages, as well as the WTG OEM.
- Draft, review, and approve Employer’s Requirements and other TSA technical documents.
- Align technical requirements with commercial conditions, providing recommendations to the Package Manager.
- Oversee technical readiness and compliance of WTG components during manufacturing, including quality documentation, inspections, and factory acceptance activities.
- Coordinate with OEM engineering and quality teams to resolve technical deviations, nonconformities, and design adjustments during production.
- Monitor manufacturing progress against schedule and escalate risks or delays to the WTG Package Manager.
- Ensure alignment of manufacturing deliverables with Employer’s Requirements, certification needs, and interface specifications.
- Support logistics planning and readiness for component transport, including technical input to handling, storage, and preservation requirements.
- Validate delivery documentation, manufacturing records, and technical handover packages prior to shipment.
- Drive cross package issue resolution and ensure consistent technical solutions.
- Lead cost Out and lean initiatives within the WTG package.
- Report progress, risks, and key technical matters to the WTG Package Manager.
EXPERIENCE
- Background in technical project management, ideally in offshore wind or complex infrastructure.
- Strong understanding of WTG technology and multidisciplinary engineering coordination.
- Experience with contract related technical documentation and interface management.
- Strong communication and stakeholder Management skills.
