About the awards

The annual Wind Investment Awards is a platform to celebrate best practice in the global onshore and offshore wind industry, incorporating innovation, financing, project development and asset management.

Hosted by global wind industry community A Word About Wind, the awards unite prominent decision-makers to enable opportunities to network and forge long-term business connections.

On Taylor Hopkinson’s award win, the judges said:

“Taylor Hopkinson’s focus on sustainability, diversity and inclusion makes them stand out as Recruiter of the Year.

But not only that, they have shown clear objectives and delivered strong performances across their range of services, including becoming more specialised in the wind sector”

Tom Hopkinson, CEO, Taylor Hopkinson, said:

“We are delighted to have won this award for the second year running. TH has shown true resilience to achieve a record-breaking year for revenue, regional investment and continued growth in headcount, set against the backdrop of uncertainty caused by the global pandemic. We continue to support major projects in our home markets whilst supporting our clients’ entry into emerging markets in the US and APAC. We are pleased that our commitment to improved diversity and inclusion in our sector was highlighted in this award win, and we will continue to strengthen our efforts in this area.”

Adam Barber, Managing Director of Tamarindo Group, parent company of A Word About Wind, said:

“It’s been a challenging 12 months for the sector, and the world at large. Which makes it feel even more appropriate to recognise and celebrate the passion, hard work and success of businesses and individuals who have been making an authentic difference within our industry. We congratulate them all and will continue to play our part in empowering people in the sector to build a cleaner and fairer world.”
