Taylor Hopkinson is delighted to welcome Carl Blundon to the team, who joins as Head of APAC. He will be based in the iconic Taipei 101 Tower, alongside many of our current clients and contractors.
Carl brings a wealth of recruitment expertise and almost twenty years of experience in the region. He joins from Adecco Taiwan, where he spent over four years. He began as National Sales Director, then took on the role of Outsourcing Director, growing the team from seven to 20 and delivering impressive year-on-year growth.
In close collaboration with our Singapore office, he will work with clients across APAC to customise solutions, including contract services, retained search and business intelligence to further establish Taylor Hopkinson as the go-to business for renewable energy recruitment services in the region. Taylor Hopkinson has been a trusted partner to several high-profile clients in this region for the last three years, having delivered project teams across Formosa 1 and 2, Xidao Ltd, Changfang and Hai Long offshore wind farms.
Carl commented,
“I’m incredibly excited to join Taylor Hopkinson and look forward to growing our current footprint in the region. A strong local presence combined with our established team of experts in Europe will allow us to provide top-quality services to our clients in this growing market.”
Carl was recently appointed Chair of the British Chamber of Commerce, where he has served on the Board of Directors in Taipei since 2017. The UK Renewable Energy Committee (UKRC), supported by The British Chamber, facilitates collaboration and networking across the renewables supply chain in Taiwan and Carl, in his role as Chairman of the Chamber, will play an active part in promoting these initiatives.
Tom Hopkinson, CEO of Taylor Hopkinson said,
“Carl’s appointment demonstrates our commitment to our clients and contractors in the APAC region, as well as our desire to be a long-term enabler of growth and jobs within local supply chains, driving inclusion of further local content and ensuring a sustainable renewable energy industry is created for future generations across the APAC region.”
This follows an announcement last Friday that Taylor Hopkinson has secured the first ever green trade loan with HSBC Taiwan.
