Taylor Hopkinson awarded contract by Changfang & Xidao Project

Following a successful tender process, Taylor Hopkinson (TH) has secured contract award for the supply of Client Representatives to Changfang & Xidao (CFXD) Offshore Windfarm in Taiwan developed by Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners (CIP)

The scope of work will see TH’s Offshore Wind Contract team supply Client Representatives across all packages including Foundations, WTG and Cables inclusive of onshore HDD works. The agreement commenced in January 2021 and will run until 2023.

The CFXD Offshore Windfarm, which reached financial close in February 2020 will be constructed in two phases with an awarded grid capacity of 600 MW and they are expected to be fully commissioned by December 2023.

Taylor Hopkinson has supplied specialist teams to deliver packages of work on over 75 offshore wind farms globally, carving out a dominant position in the provision of contractors for offshore wind projects in APAC in recent years.

Once completed, the project will feed 600 MW into the Taiwanese grid, supplying enough clean energy to power 650,000 households. The next three years will be an exciting time in what is still a developing market. However, with the support of our trusted suppliers and partners, we know the project will be a resounding success.”
