We’re delighted to welcome Nazuna Hayashi to Taylor Hopkinson.
Based in Tokyo, Nazuna is our first consultant in Japan and joins us with over ten years of experience in specialist recruitment and sales. With a proven track record of placing renewables specialists across wind, biomass and solar at one of Asia’s leading recruitment firms, Nazuna will lead Taylor Hopkinson’s expansion into the growing Japanese offshore wind market.
Building our presence in Japan’s offshore wind sector
Currently, Japan has less installed offshore wind capacity than some of its neighbours – but with 370GW of potential resource and an ambitious 10GW target by 2030, the Government is committed to driving the energy transition using this proven, dependable technology.
Japan’s first commercial-scale offshore wind farm just started commercial operations in the northern prefecture of Akita, and we’re already working with some of the leading companies in the sector to fill key roles in project development that will help drive the sector forward.
“I’m really excited to join Taylor Hopkinson at a time of international growth,” says Nazuna. “Japan is an ambitious, exciting market for offshore wind, and deployment is going to increase exponentially in the coming decade, highlighting the need for experienced specialists. I’m looking forward to growing our business, helping our clients find proven talent that will drive the energy transition, and connecting specialists to pioneering offshore wind projects in Japan.”
“We’re delighted to welcome Nazuna to the team,” says Carl Blundon, our APAC Director. “Opening our first office in Japan is a huge step forward for Taylor Hopkinson and it’s testament to the significant opportunity we have with Japan’s offshore wind industry. Nazuna brings dedicated in-country resource here for the first time, so we’ll be able to bring our Japanese clients the market-leading solutions that we’re known for worldwide.
“Alongside our Brunel colleagues we can support clients with contract hires, permanent recruitment, payroll solutions, recruitment outsourcing and executive search. We’re bringing world-leading recruitment and global mobility solutions to Japan’s offshore wind market, and that’s a really exciting opportunity.”
