Taylor Hopkinson are working on an exciting and new opportunity to join a leading power generation business as Procurement Manager to be based in their Stockholm or Amsterdam offices. The successful candidate will drive forward the client’s ambitious growth plans in the renewables sector by providing a fit for purpose and cost effective procurement strategy for wind turbine generators.

The role:

  • Develop a short, mid and long term plan for the procurement activities to ensure success within the category of wind turbine generator procurement
  • Lead supplier development activities
  • Provide relevant market expertise to stakeholders throughout the client’s organisation
  • Build and maintain relationship with a variety of internal and external stakeholders with an aim to ensure buy in to the procurement process
  • Develop and deliver cost saving programmes within wind-turbine procurement
  • Carry out supplier selection and contract negotiation with an aim to provide the client with best value services and protecting the business from negative financial, regulatory and legal exposure
  • Manage wind turbine category spend
  • Take part in improvement initiatives to ensure a fit for purpose procurement strategy is maintained for the wind turbine category

The ideal candidate:

  • Experienced in wind turbine generation procurement processes and supply chain management within the wine energy sector
  • Able to demonstrate strategic supplier management experience
  • Team-player, capable of working with cross-discipline teams in varying locations
  • Networker within wind generation and the relevant procurement community
  • Consultative approach to supply chain management, able to engage with, advise and guide internal and external stakeholders
  • Able to problem solve to ensure solutions being provided within the client’s supply chain are fit for purpose and continuously improving
