Bid Director Denmark

Bid Director required to join one of the world's leading energy businesses and help drive their continued growth in the offshore wind sector.

You will join a multidisciplinary team of business development, regulatory affairs, environmental, permitting, procurement, and supply chain professionals to secure new seabed development opportunities in the Danish market.

This is a full-time, permanent position based in Copenhagen (remote/ hybrid working options available).

Role

• Lead the development and implementation of tender strategy for the offshore wind market in Denmark.
• Provide oversight and management of ongoing market analysis.
• Lead and develop the origination team, including bid managers, bid coordinators, bid writers, and grid advisors.
• Plan, secure, and manage bid resources through to successful site award.
• Manage third party support required for bidding and origination activity.
• Develop and implement opportunity-specific tactical plans
• Support the internal governance process requirements to enable bid submissions.
• Establish cross-functional working relationships to ensure quality input for bidding is made available.
• Oversee the production and development of high-quality bid material within required programme.
• Review and analyse tender requirements and communicate these effectively across the wider team.
• Identify, manage, and report on emerging risks, opportunities, and win probabilities.

Requirements

• Degree educated or above, or professional qualification, in a relevant discipline.
• Demonstrable experience in a commercial leadership position from the power or related sectors, including business development and origination exposure.
• Experience of developing winning government tenders, bids, and/or auction participation.
• Confidence engaging external and internal stakeholders and advising business leaders.
• Experience in offshore wind or other renewables development projects preferable.
• Good team player with experience of leading and developing a team.
